No Sugar, Antioxidant Rich Summer Drink

Are you keen to avoid sugary drinks but fed up with just drinking water?

I hear you my friend and I have something for you that has the advantage of being:

  • completely and utterly free of all sugars of any kind whatsoever and will have zero effect on your blood sugar!
  • is super good for you, because it is full of antioxidants and will calm your nervous system!
  • tastes insanely refreshing!

It is my latest invention and I can't get enough of it!

I proudly present to you my

Hibiscus & Lemon Balm infusion

You will need some dried Hibiscus and Lemon Balm (otherwise known as Melissa). 

I get mine in bulk from amazon, but you can probably find them herbal/tea shops or organic stores. Try to go for organic if you can. Avoid the ones that come in tea bags in a supermarket. The taste is just not the same as loose leaf and the lower quality tea bags contain microplastics.

Both Hibiscus and Lemon Balm are fantastic plants with many health benefits

You can also add a few dried stevia leaves - you need very little of those, like 3-4 small leaves. In this amount they will not make the drink sweet but will give it a kind of "softer" taste. (Again, unless you grow it on your patio, the internet is your friend for dried stevia leaves). 

I much prefer the leaves than any of the store bought stevia sweetener formulations. Those come with other fillers, which are often not kind on the microbiome and I find it incredibly difficult to dose only a little without getting that kind of strange stevia aftertaste. With the dried leaves you do not have these issues.

If you like them and can find them, you can add some dried rose petals (the ones specifically for brewing as tea) - but this is completely optional, it is great, without.
